We recommend flying into Newark Airport - you avoid driving through NYC, and it will have more rental car options than Albany. The drive is only slightly longer than from Albany.
From NYC or Newark Airport: Take I-87 N to Kingston, NY. Take exit 19 onto NY-28 W. In Margaretville, turn right onto NY-30 N/Main St. for 3 miles, then turn right onto Kelly Corners-Denver-Vega Rd. Follow the road for about 5 miles, make a slight right to remain on Kelly Corners-Denver-Vega Rd., then take a right onto Stewart Road.
From Albany: Take I-90 W to I-88W. Take exit 23 for NY-30A towards Schoharie, then make a slight right to continue onto NY-30. In Roxbury, turn left onto Scudder Hill Road, then left onto Howard Greene Road, then a sharp left onto Kelly Corners-Denver-Vega Rd. Take the first right onto Stewart Rd.
